NEWTON COUNTY ROUND-UP CLUB &
NEWTON COUNTY FAIR HORSE SHOWS


NOTE: This year the horse shows will begin early on Saturday, August 14, with registration at 9 a.m. and show begins at 10 a.m. this is a first time to start in the morning so mark your calendars.

Age Divisions: Youth (14 & Under) Senior (15 & Over). Entry Fees: $5 per class with a 50% payback to first three places. Ribbons and high point trophies awarded. Door prize drawing for contestants. A 2010 negative coggins paper is required. Concession will be available all day.

Newton County Fair Board or Newton County Round-Up Club will not be responsible for accidents, death or loss of property.

Rules & Regulations:
·        This show is open to gaited and stock horses only.
·        Only Newton county residents or Newton County Round-up Club members may enter.
·        All classes will be awarded three places with participation ribbons awarded to all participants. Points will go with the horse & individual. If riders share a horse only one rider will be eligible for high point prizes. (Ex. A rider borrows another rider’s horse for fast gait, only one can accumulate points for a high point prize.) Ponies 52” or less (Rider 14 & under). Stud handlers & riders must be 18 & over.
·        Dress Code - Long sleeved shirt & cowboy hat required for all Halter & Western Pleasure classes.
·        High Point Classes –Will be posted.

Break - We will take a break for the Newton County Fair Parade, which starts at 4 p.m. at the entrance of Bradley Park. Registration for those who haven’t yet registered will immediately follow the parade and show will resume.
