The annual Miss Newton County Pageant received a complete overhaul last year. I think it was a huge success. So many great contestants, spectators, and sponsors! We have kept all the changes for 2015. The only change has been in the early pageant schedule. All divisions and categories are the same. Formal wear and rodeo wear competitions...you can enter formal wear only or rodeo wear only OR DO BOTH! Boys will compete in Rodeo Wear Only ages 11 months to 7 years! Pageant date is August 8th!

Wood Motor Company is bringing the SMTTPA sanctioned Truck and Tractor Double Point Pull on August 22 at 8pm. Do not miss it!!
Check-in for educational and livestock exhibits will be on Sunday, August 23rd from 1-5pm. Exhibit check in times for livestock will be strictly enforced. To ensure you are assigned a stall in the livestock barn, please submit Livestock Entry Forms by the due date.
Livestock show - August 24th at 6pm.
Premium Sale - August 25th at 7pm.
J and J's Magic Midway will be returning in 2015. After being gone for several years, we are looking forward to seeing our friends at J and J's. Carnival open Thursday-Saturday at 6 pm nightly! Every night is armband night.
New for 2015 - TRG of Harrison has partnered with the Newton County Fair Board to bring you MUTTON BUSTIN. August 27 to August 29 at 7:30pm 10 Mutton Busters will show their stuff in your pre-rodeo entertainment. Registration begins at 6:30 and only 10 riders each night. Top riders from the 3 performances will compete again during Saturday night rodeo. Arrive early to secure your spot. All contestants will receive a trophy.
Villines Lock and Key, LLC is bringing back Bull Jam 2015! The rankest bulls are back to battle against some of the toughest cowboys in the business on Thursday, August 27 at 8pm!
Ramsey Motor Company proudly presents two action packed nights of rodeo action. Beginning Friday with our Salute to the Veterans.
Saturday night is our annual Pink Out Night. We will be raising money for the Newton County Cancer Support Group. Wear pink and be proud!
Fair parade will be Saturday, August 29 at 4:30 pm.
